Acacia International School is a faith-based school in Kampala, Uganda. Our teachers consider working at Acacia as a ministry and calling. They provide high-quality Christian education, mentor students’ character, and invest in God’s Kingdom.

Working at Acacia, you will be based in Muyenga, a suburb of Kampala. International schools are diverse, and you will join a multi-nation teaching team and student body. There will be opportunities to explore the beauty of Uganda, engage in activities beyond the classroom, and be challenged in your understanding of global education and faith.

Teacher Requirements

  • Applicants must have a meaningful faith in Christ and evidence of service in their home church and community

  • Teacher certification from your home country, and two years of teaching experience 

  • International teaching and life experience are preferred

  • For Ugandan applicants, previous experience of teaching an international curriculum in an internationally accredited school

  • All applicants will be screened for child protection purposes and must provide satisfactory police checks​

Teacher Benefits

​Teachers are paid a modest salary, enough to live locally. Teachers' dependents usually qualify for tuition bursaries (a maximum of 2 subsequent dependents at a discount). Out-of-country hires may receive housing, medical insurance, and flights.
